Ceramics are my jam—especially when they’re inspired by midcentury design, early 1930–40s art, and Japanese manga. Whether I’m creating functional ware or shaping meaningful sculptural pieces, you’ll find me happily at work in my studio. Since 1998, I’ve been making my own marks on whimsical pots, drawing influence from historical vessels, vintage animation (anime and Max Fleischer), and the playful spirit of past eras.

2022 has been a year of change for me. I entered into the Clay Cohorts program under Lisa Orr’s tutelage, focusing on making more political work, and finding my voice away from the recreations I had been doing. I am still learning with Lisa (2025) and am looking forward to further experimentation using decals, underglazes, mishima, monoprinting, reductive sculpture, and china paints.

My work has been shown nationally through galleries and I’m always looking for new opportunities to showcase both my functional and non-functional work.
